Hire a Licensed Contractor

With the down turn of the economy, many homeowners may be lured in by low price estimates to save money. However, there may be hidden costs and the quality of workmanship may not be so great. Do your research before you hire a contractor. Make sure the contractor you hire is licensed and insured as well as ask for references. It may not be such as bad idea to get more than one estimate and get everything in writing.

Craigslist is just one example that many homeowners turn to only to find it full of unlicensed, uninsured contractors and diy handymen who will work for very cheap wages and provide poor workmanship.

Look for small independant companies like Palladian Building Company where the owner performs a majority of the work. Working as a small independant contractor allows rates to be very affordable. Palladian Building Company takes great pride in quality workmanship and has exceptional attention to details.

No worries here, Palladian Building is licensed and insured and most of all, they have an outstanding reputation throughout Southeastern Michigan.
